First determine whether the audio delay affects one item, every item or only an external sound system. Compare the same item with the TV speakers before changing delay controls.
Find the scope
- Try another live item and an on-demand item.
- Compare built-in TV speakers with the external audio output.
- Restart the player and replay the same item.
- Note whether the delay is constant or grows over time.
Adjust a documented delay setting
Use the player or sound-system audio-delay control only when available and understood. Change one control at a time and record its starting value. If several controls are changed together, the test cannot show which caused the correction.
Escalate an unresolved source problem
If one source remains out of sync while others work, report the exact item and time. If all items drift, provide device, player, audio-output route and the comparison result.
