A support handover should summarize the issue, device, relevant timestamps and actions already tried. It does not require forwarding a complete conversation containing passwords, payment details and unrelated personal messages. Give the next person enough context to continue while keeping account access under the owner’s control.
Write a factual case summary
Separate observed behavior from suspected causes. Include the current state and the last useful result. A short ordered summary is easier to follow than dozens of screenshots with no explanation.
Minimize the attached evidence
Choose a redacted error screenshot or a short log sample rather than every file. Keep transaction references when relevant, but remove full financial identifiers. Do not forward one-time codes or password-manager content.
Keep authorization clear
A friend helping with setup does not automatically become the account owner or payment contact. State what help is authorized and use the service’s actual process for any account changes. Do not invent an ownership-transfer rule.
A practical sequence

An example to work through
A handover can say “Guide import succeeds, one station remains unmapped; these two ids were compared” without forwarding the credential-bearing guide URL.
Questions about this topic
Does the helper need every password to understand the case?
Usually not. Begin with nonsecret diagnostic context.
Can I assume forwarding a chat transfers account ownership?
No. Ownership changes require the service’s actual process.
