Reordering the Google TV apps row makes an installed player easier to reach without reinstalling it. Find the application under Your apps, open its move control with the remote and place it near the beginning of the row. Moving a tile does not alter the player’s account, favourites or subscription. Treat this as a launcher convenience change. Confirm that you are moving the existing working app, then reopen it once from the new position to verify the household can reach the same configuration.
Locate the installed application
If the player is not visible in the short home-screen row, open the complete apps list first. Search results may show an installation page even when the app is already on the device. Compare the icon and displayed application name with the player you normally open. If the complete list has no matching app, check installation under Settings before attempting to reorder anything. A recommendation, advertisement or store shortcut can resemble an app tile while leading somewhere different, so use the installed-app entry for the move action.
Reorder rather than duplicate
The move action changes the launcher position. Installing another application with a similar icon introduces an unnecessary second player and can create confusion over which application holds the working login. The launcher stores its display order separately from the app's internal playlist and favourites. A different player with the same provider name will have its own configuration. If the Move command is absent, check the TV's current launcher instructions; do not remove the working installation simply to recreate a shortcut or force a different row layout.
Make the household route simple
Keep the regular player near other frequently used apps. If the TV supports multiple household profiles, explain which profile and application the family normally uses rather than relying on an unfamiliar recommendations tile. Test the route after returning to the home screen, because a short row can show fewer tiles than the full apps list. If another household member uses a different profile, check its launcher separately. A player moved on one home screen should not be assumed to occupy the same position in every profile or external box.

An example to work through
Placing the player next to the TV’s other daily apps can remove several remote presses without changing any provider settings. After moving the existing tile, open it and confirm the familiar favourites are present. A different screen may indicate that a similarly named shortcut was selected instead.
Questions about this topic
Does moving a tile erase settings?
No. Launcher ordering does not clear application data.
Is a missing home-screen tile proof that the app was deleted?
No. Check the full installed-apps list first.
