When every channel is blank, investigate the shared guide source, import status and date window before editing individual mappings. A missing URL, rejected download, unreadable XML file or stale source can affect the entire lineup at once. Video playback can continue because it uses separate stream resources.
Start with the guide import result
Use any available update status or error message in the player. Distinguish a network fetch failure from a successful download containing no usable programme entries. Record the time of the last successful update where the player exposes it.
Verify the resource type
A guide URL should return XMLTV data in a format the reader supports. A customer portal page or error document is not a guide even if the URL includes xml. Keep credential-bearing resources private while inspecting them.
Then examine mapping
If the source imports current programmes but nothing appears, a lineup-wide identifier mismatch becomes more plausible. Test one known channel manually rather than remapping hundreds of entries without evidence.
A practical sequence

An example to work through
A player can load all station names from an M3U list while its separate guide URL returns a login page. The channel list looks complete, but there are no usable schedule records.
Questions about this topic
Will changing the video decoder help?
No. Decoder settings do not repair a guide import.
Should I replace every channel id immediately?
Only after confirming that the guide source itself loads current data.
