Overlapping guide entries can come from conflicting source records, incorrect stop times, duplicate imports or two schedules mapped to the same channel. The player may choose one entry, stack both, or display an untidy grid. Compare the underlying time intervals rather than changing the system clock.
Look for duplicate schedule sources
If the same station is supplied by two guide feeds, their entries may not agree exactly. Decide which source should be authoritative for that edition. More guide sources do not automatically mean more accurate listings.
Inspect boundaries around the overlap
A programme with an incorrect end time can cover the next scheduled item. A duplicate start time may indicate repeated records. Note whether the problem affects one slot, one station or the entire guide.
Keep a small evidence sample
The station key, two programme titles and their start/stop values are enough to describe most overlap problems. Remove account URLs and personal identifiers before sharing the sample with support.

An example to work through
One feed ends a film at 22:00 while another ends it at 22:15 and starts the next programme at 22:00. Importing both can produce a fifteen-minute conflict.
Questions about this topic
Does overlap mean two videos are playing?
No. It is a schedule-data conflict.
Can a global time shift remove it?
Usually not. Both conflicting records would move together.
