Choose a player supported on the installed macOS version and hardware. A Windows or Android installer is not a macOS installation route.
Choose a supported player
Check the current publisher listing, macOS compatibility and account format before installing.
A player licence and a streaming account are separate. Confirm any licence fee and do not claim a device is supported merely because a similar device worked.
Connect the confirmed account
- Confirm that the account is active and note the allowed simultaneous connections.
- Open the player’s supported login or playlist method.
- Enter the privately supplied values exactly, keeping server details and tokens out of public records.
- Test one live item and one on-demand item, then verify guide times and available language controls.
Check the connection on this device
Test on the normal connection and at the normal viewing time. Compare Ethernet with the existing Wi-Fi connection if the device supports it. Pause large household transfers for a controlled comparison; a successful test on another device does not prove this device has the same network conditions.
Check controls, decoding and presentation
Test the real remote or touch interface. Compare another item when an image, audio track or subtitle does not work. Change one playback setting at a time and restore it if the result is worse. No device or app version was installed or tested as part of this website guide.
If the setup fails
Record the model, software version, app edition, error and whether another item works. Use the account-login guide for rejected credentials and the buffering guide for repeated pauses. Ask support to confirm compatibility before paying for an alternative player.
