Canadian sport, international competitions and stories from athletes give CBC Sports its distinctive perspective. Our guide brings together Canadian time zones, programme formats and sports viewing basics.
The supplied artwork
A Canadian sports broadcaster
CBC Sports is the sports identity of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. The red CBC gem in the supplied artwork identifies CBC, a different broadcaster from the American CBS name. The image is used here as a subject reference; it does not establish account access or an official partnership.
Canadian schedules and local dates
Canada spans several time zones. A sports listing published in Eastern time needs to be read in the context of the viewer’s own location. Programme-guide entries are easiest to use when the device clock and local city are set correctly.
Choose the programme format
A live broadcast, a studio discussion and a highlights programme offer different experiences. The programme title and description help distinguish them when several entries concern the same competition or athlete.
