A reseller handover should make clear whether the next person is handling a quote, payment enquiry, activation or technical issue. These tasks need different information and permissions. A concise factual summary reduces repeated questions without giving every staff member access to all customer secrets.
State the current state
Use the order reference, selected term, confirmed transaction state and unresolved task. Keep assumptions separate from completed actions. “Awaiting payment confirmation” is different from “ready to activate.”
Attach only relevant evidence
A technical helper may need a device model and redacted error, while a payment reviewer may need a transaction reference. Neither automatically needs the complete chat history or a general password spreadsheet.
Keep responsibility explicit
Name the role responsible for the next action and record its result. Avoid two people independently repeating the same activation or credit adjustment. The actual supplier tools and permissions must be confirmed rather than invented.

An example to work through
A sales handover can state “three-month enquiry, quote sent, no payment confirmed” while a technical case can state “active account, guide mapping issue.” Those are different workflows.
Questions about this topic
Does every role need activation access?
No. Access should match the task.
Should two helpers activate the same uncertain order?
